Temporary work email
Temporary business email on your own domain
Sign-up forms that ask for a work email reject gmail.com and public temp-mail domains. With your own company domain connected, any address — trial@yourcompany.com, vendor-acme@yourcompany.com — receives mail immediately and stays in a private inbox.
First domain free · Receive-only · No mailbox to create
Set up a temp business email
- Use a domain your business owns. A spare or secondary company domain works best, because its MX record will point to Free Domain Mail.
- Add the TXT and MX records. The app shows the exact values. You keep your registrar and DNS provider.
- Hand out any address. Use a different address per vendor, trial or tool. Each one receives mail without setup.
- Drop it when you are done. Stop using the address and nothing else changes. Mail is kept for 30 days.
Temp business email vs a public temp address
| Feature | Public temp mail | Temp business email (your domain) |
|---|---|---|
| Looks like a work address | No | Yes — it is your company domain |
| Accepted by "work email only" forms | Often rejected | More likely to be accepted — it is a company domain |
| Private inbox | No | Yes |
| Send replies | No | No — receive-only |
Good uses
Software trials and demos that require a company address, vendor and supplier portals, partner programs, webinars, and QA accounts for your own product. Using one address per vendor also shows you who shares or sells your address.
Limits to know
Free Domain Mail only receives. You cannot reply or send from these addresses, and there is no IMAP, SMTP or POP3. Use your organisation's domain only where you are allowed to, and follow each website's terms.
Common questions
What is a temp business email?
A disposable address on a business domain you control, used for sign-ups that require a work email, without creating a real mailbox for it.
Can I reply from the address?
No. The service is receive-only and never sends or forwards mail.
Does it work with my main company domain?
Only if that domain's mail can move to Free Domain Mail, because the MX record sends all of the domain's mail here. Most teams use a secondary domain.
How many addresses can I use?
As many as you like. Every address at the connected domain receives mail automatically.
Is it free?
The first domain is free. Additional domains are activated on request from your account.
