How to configure email DNS in Namecheap

Namecheap's Advanced DNS editor can publish the complete email record set when its nameservers are authoritative for the domain.
Back up the current zone
Open Domain List > Manage > Advanced DNS and copy existing MX and TXT values before editing.
If the domain uses custom nameservers, make the change at that external DNS provider instead.
Enter each field correctly
Use @ for root MX and SPF records. Enter the provider's MX target and priority separately. For DKIM, copy the selector hostname and TXT/CNAME target exactly.
Publish DMARC as TXT at _dmarc. Start at p=none with a reporting address you control, then stage enforcement after reviewing senders.
Check public DNS and real delivery
Use the DNS Checker after saving and allow for TTL caches. Merge senders into one SPF record if one already exists.
Send and receive an external test, then inspect SPF, DKIM and DMARC alignment in the message headers.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Creating a second v=spf1 TXT record.
- Deleting unrelated Namecheap verification records.
- Editing Namecheap while external nameservers are active.
