Free custom domain email setup
Custom-domain email combines a domain you control, DNS records that prove ownership, and a mail service that sends and receives responsibly.
Start with a domain you control
Keep the domain at its existing registrar. You only need access to DNS records.
Create an account, add the domain and copy the unique ownership TXT record.
Publish the authentication set
Add the ownership proof, MX for receiving, SPF for sending permission, DKIM selectors for signed mail and DMARC for domain policy.
Complete all records first, then run a final verification.
Create addresses carefully
After verification, create addresses such as hello@yourdomain.com or support@yourdomain.com.
Start with normal person-to-person or transactional messages. Do not use purchased lists or bulk campaigns.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Using values copied from another domain.
- Checking only one record and assuming the setup is finished.
- Treating a free plan as an invitation to send bulk email.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to transfer my domain?
No. Keep the registrar and add DNS records where they already live.
Why do I need five record groups?
They prove ownership, route incoming mail, authorise sending, sign mail and publish a protection policy.
